TTC ON STRIKE AS OF MIDNIGHT

Fail raid is fail.

The TTC unions have voted to withdraw service as of midnight, April 26th, 2008. So effective immediately. This means many of you who were relying on the TTC to get down to the mini-raid will need an alternate source of transport or will likely not be able to come. Edmund Yee - Staff member. OSA? Very confrontational. Watch out for this guy because he will try to start trouble with you. Has taken photos and audio recorded us.

Mario - Staff member. Auditor. Will try and force you away from Co$ by claiming the sidewalk is private property, he is a liar. Won't look at you in the eye.

Because the mini-raids on April 19th and 20th were such a huge success I am proposing we do the same on April 26th, moar guerrilla flyering. We'll keep 5-6 anons near the area in front of the org and a few across the street, the rest should either go up the street, tour some areas with heavy foot traffic or just roam the city.

We might want to consider doing 'shifts' this time, as the CoS apparently started up the sales drive full-throttle after we left for the day. Apparently they were pushing their warez heavily around 7pm. If we can do shifts it will allow us to stay cover their entire sales day. If we can do one shift from 10am to 3:30 and another from 3:30 to 9 we should have energetic anons enturbulating their sales quite well.

Everybody is welcome to come and you're welcome to come whenever you like, but just keep in mind that if you follow the 'shift' idea we'll be all the more effective. If you want to stay the whole 11 hours... porkchop sandwiches ftw.

Please note your nick/alias below, what you can bring and what times you are available. Let's coordinate here and make this even more epic than last time. And again, please be prepared a) to talk to people, b) to deal with bullbaiters / confrontation with OSA goons and c) to deal with the law / know your rights / respect the police and those around you. We are representing Anonymous and we don't want to jeopardise things for the monthly protests. In fact, this went so well that we are hoping to use it as an example of how well we handle ourselves while being on that side of the street... hopefully they'll re-open that side of the street to us for May 10th.

Yes, the All-Cause Rally is going on that day, but it starts at 3pm and you have ample time to attend both functions. We need about 5 Anons willing to go to Nathan Phillips Square to recruit/promote for May 10th!

All that said... these are intended to be guerrilla flyering events... we are trying not to do a huge amount of planning. If the turnout and response on Saturday is good we may do it again Sunday.

Make sure you're ready for a day in the sun. Suncreen and water are must haves. Snackums are also a good idea. If someone's willing to, they could bring a laptop to go on IRC and call for /b/lackup from starbucks just in case.

We need a task force to scout/flyer the Co$ East Toronto Mission at 2007 Danforth Avenue (Danforth & Conxwell). They are rumoured to have a failbooth offering free stress tests out of a storefront. This task force could organize downtown, then split from the main force and head to the Mission.

It seems like the CoS is changing their tactics now that we are really hitting them on a more personal level. Because of these guerrilla / flash raids they are able to focus more on individuals.

Be prepared for potential OSA goonery, ie following you, bullbaiting, even physical concerns like pushing, throwing objects at you or even straight-on fist-throwing. You MUST implement Ghandi Tech, ie play dead, do not fight back and have witnesses / evidence for the police. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU DO NOT FIGHT BACK OR INSTIGATE THEIR BEHAVIOUR. If we are found to be inciting violence we not only jeopardise the end of the guerrilla events but the protests themselves.

Also be aware that they are trying desperately to get your name or ANY info on you. Do not use real names AT ALL and watch your pockets / bags. Apparently somebody had an OSA goon go into their pocket this past weekend in the US.

APRIL 19th & 20th - BOOK SELLING EXTRAVAGANZA RAID - OPERATION BOOK-A-THON

Scienos all over the world have been ordered to hit the streets this weekend selling Dianetics. We plan to be there to counter their efforts with our presence, our flyers, and the real truth about the cult of Scientology.

We expect here in Toronto they will be out on the street in front of the org at 696 Yonge St. and we plan to be there too, flyering all the people who they will encounter before and after they pass the org.

Saturday April 19th will begin at 9:30am. Meet up will occur at the small park on Isabella just east of Yonge. If you plan to be masked, BE MASKED BEFORE YOU GET THERE and don't just assume everyone there is on our side. Keep your dox to yourself and trust no one. That said, we will be working in teams of 2 or 3, preferably with at least one camera per team. Please bring one if you can.

We don't know for certain where or how long the Scienos will be out on the street - it would be great if we could maintain some presence the entire time. So even if you can't come in the morning the afternoon should work too. And if you can't come Saturday, work on coordinating for Sunday. Even if it's just a couple hours of flyering it will help a lot!

Bring flyers if you have them, and be prepared to talk to the public; it's much more likely during an event like this that people will ask you questions.
